Top Cords to Keep Your RV Plugged in this Winter

Yeah I said it…winter *Shivers*. It’s less than a month away for some of you (and for others there is already snow). For the seasonal RV’er that means it is time to pack up the RV and store it for the season. I know some of you like to store their RVs inside and plugged in so you can use it intermittently. We have made a small list of the top 3 cords to keep your RV plugged this winter.

*I’m assuming that you probably won’t be using more than 15A 125V service when you leave your RV plugged in. In that case these cords are designed to plug into your 30A & 50A RV’s inlet system, and adapt down to a household 15A 125V plug.

1. Conntek 14205. (15A → 30A Inlet Side Adapter)…

conntek-14205-RV-15A-to-30A-Locking-Inlet-Adapter-plugged-in-conntek.com

Plugs into your RV 30A inlet. You can then plug into a regular 125V outlet / extension cord.

This adapter uses a standard 15A 125V plug that can be plugged into your house and adapts it to fit 30A RV Inlets with the L5-30R connection. It is designed with the threaded ring to keep out any weather conditions if your RV is outdoors.

This adapter is under 2ft long and can be easily carried on and off the coach, and makes an excellent extra adapter for the RVing season as well.

2. Conntek 14222. (15A → 50A Inlet Side Adapter)…

Plugs into your RV 50A inlet. You can then plug into a regular 125V outlet / extension cord.

This adapter is similar to the one before but goes from a 15A 125V plug that can be plugged into your house and adapts it to fit 50A RV Inlets with the SS2-50R connection.

It is designed with the threaded ring to keep out any weather conditions if your RV is outdoors.

This adapter is under 2ft long and can be easily carried. Awesome if you don’t like carrying your heavy 50A cord around when plugging in at home or to your generator.

3. Conntek 14511. (Heavy Duty 10/3AWG 15A Extension Cord)…

conntek-14511-rv-generator-15A-extension-cord-103-awg

Heavy duty 15A extension cord for your RV / generator. 25 & 50ft available.

We took a typical 15A 125V cord and made it into a 10/3AWG monster. This cord is built to handle all weather conditions and pull serious power.

10/3 is normally used in 30A cords, so you know it is built heavy-duty. It even features a neon light on the plug side to let you know there is power.

This cord is great for long term outdoor use and for peace of mind when working higher amps, and works with the other cords mentioned. It comes in 25ft & 50ft lengths.
