Can I plug a regular extension cord into my RV for power?

Absolutely. But you may need an adapter to connect to your RV’s power cord.

Listed below are the two most common step down adapters you may have to use on your RV with.

If your power source can reach the outlet, we recommend using a 10 Gauge 15A Extension Cord with any of these adapters. This is because it is a thicker gauge and handles higher power over longer distances. Be aware that when you’re plugged into a 15/20A power source, you will not be able to run many appliances at once.
